Description:

Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS), also known as Atomic Spectrophotometry, is a method of instrumental analysis

based on the absorption of the characteristic spectral lines of the atomic vapors of the base state of the element to be

measured, and the qualitative and quantitative analysis of the element to be measured by the characteristics of the

characteristic spectral lines and the degree to which the spectral lines have been attenuated.

Instrument structure:

Atomic absorption spectrometer consists of light source, atomization system, spectroscopy system, detection system and

other parts. There are usually single-beam type and double-beam type two types.

This instrument optical system structure is simple, has a high sensitivity, low price, easy to promote, can meet the requirements

of daily analysis work.

Advantage:

High selectivity, high sensitivity, wide analytical range, strong anti-interference ability, high precision.

It has low detection limit (flame method can reach μg/cm-3 level) high accuracy (relative error of flame method is less than 1%),

good selectivity (i.e., less interference), fast analysis speed, wide range of applications (flame method can analyze more than 30

kinds of elements / more than 70 kinds of elements, graphite furnace method can analyze more than 70 kinds of elements, and

hydride generator method can analyze 11 kinds of elements) and so on.

Applications:

Atomic Absorption Spectrometry has become a routine method in the laboratory, which can analyze more than 70 kinds of elements

and is widely used in various fields such as petrochemical industry, environmental health, metallurgy and mining, materials, geology,

food and medicine.
